Before choosing which type of moving warranty is right for you, we recommend that you consult with one of Meyer's moving and storage agents. They will be happy to provide you with all of the information necessary in order to make an educated decision. Some of the different types of moving insurance plans that we offer include:
- Full Value Moving Insurance: This is a comprehensive moving warranty. It is costly to insure through a full value moving insurance plan, but it provides the most extensive coverage available.
- Released Value Moving Insurance: This moving warranty is initially cost-efficient, but provides minimal coverage. Reimbursement is based upon a set amount per pound. This is problematic if you are moving expensive household or electrical items, because the price per pound is not a relevant factor when determining the value of the item.
- Declared Value Moving Insurance: The reimbursement amount is determined in relation to the amount that you declare as the entire value of your shipment. This type of plan can be somewhat costly.
- Items of High Value: If you are shipping highly expensive items, such as fine arts and antiques, jewelry or expensive equipment, please consult with one of are agents to determine the most appropriate moving warranty for you.
- International Moving Insurance: If you are moving overseas, Meyer's offers a wide range of international moving insurance plans that are designed to meet the unique needs involved with worldwide relocation. Our agents will be happy to advise you as to which plan best suits your needs.
